I Said I Was Done Buying Blind Boxes. It’s Monday.
JennyA Monday photo diary by Jenny • September 14, 2026
Last week, I promised I was done buying blind boxes. I meant it. Spiritually.
Unfortunately, Monday arrived, and Monday Jenny apparently had not been included in the original agreement. 🎀
Here are six screenshots of what happened next: tiny figures, plush cats, a whole basket, and enough DIY inspiration to make “just watching” sound very suspicious.
The Kuromi situation 🖤
A cat in a Kuromi costume, with little pink paw pads? My very serious collecting slowdown was suddenly facing a very unserious opponent. The blue and purple mini figures in front did absolutely nothing to help. THIS Mofusand was $29 on Toybeta.com and I only wanted Hello Kitty and Cinna.
Series notes: Possible matches: Mofusand x S.914 Series Plush Blind Box for the plush, and Piupu–Fruit Rainbow Series Mini Figures Blind Box for the minis. Exact visual matches and variant names still need confirmation.
“Okay, keep” — famous last words 🌼 Mioco
The green-haired flower twins are giving tiny garden besties. Behind them: a red soda-themed figure and two pastel cuties. Meanwhile, a whole little fruit-hat crew is hanging out at the bottom of the screenshot. My own “Ok keep” comment really ties the evidence together.
Series notes: The fruit-topped minis may be Piupu–Fruit Rainbow. The green flower figures and the three larger figures is new Mioco from Toybeta (currently SOLD OUT).
And then Hello Kitty entered the chat 🎀
Because apparently one costumed cat was not enough for the Monday photo dump. This little orange-and-white cat is wearing a Hello Kitty hood, complete with a red bow and blue outfit. Look at those feet.
Series notes: Mofusand x S.914 Series Plush Blind Box match; exact release to confirm.
The basket is documentary evidence 🧺
I would love to present a convincing defense. Unfortunately, there is a basket.
The SSSSTOY-Icey screenshot includes a receipt showing $85, assorted charms, plush accessories, and pink figures. That is the receipt shown in this basket—not a total for everything in this post.
The DIY side quest ✨
Then there is the ToyBeta DIY display: blue and pink beaded straps, fluffy pom-poms, bows, and tiny characters. This is where my craft-loving brain starts imagining every possible color combination.
Series notes: The standing and hanging fruit-topped figures appear to be Piupu–Fruit Rainbow; the straps are custom DIY pieces. The four seated figures below need their series cards to identify them accurately.
Tiny lineup, big feelings 💕
The last screenshot brings us back to the beans: a little lineup on the clear riser, plus my comment asking to give Molly one of the TangTang figures. Sharing the tiny-cute happiness is part of the fun.
Series notes: The comment points to TangTang, with TangTang–Seasonal Scenery Series Beans Blind Bag as a possible series match. Individual variants and the exact lineup still need confirmation. The larger fruit-topped figures may be Piupu–Fruit Rainbow.
So, how is slowing down going?
It is a work in progress. A very photogenic work in progress.
I still want to enjoy the pieces I have, appreciate the little details, and share this collecting chapter here on Jennifereal. Today’s contribution is simply six screenshots and a deeply questionable definition of “done buying.”
Which one would have made you type “keep”? The costumed cats, the flower twins, or the DIY charms? 🎀
Xoxo,
Jenny
